Project: A Framework for Explainable Graph Drawing

Description

Explainable AI (XAI) has attracted significant attention and research in the past few years. AI methods have been developed for Graph Drawing (GD) too, albeit research did not follow a specific direction. Several AI-accelerated GD techniques were developed, but little research has been done to allow the user to understand the reason why a layout presents such geometry.

In this project, we tackle the challenge of developing a framework that allows a researcher to identify the characteristics of an AI method in GD and develop the proper XAI technique accordingly.
