Project: Crowd dynamics for building evacuations in emergency situations

Description

In this thesis we propose a method for crowd simulation in building evacuation. The simulation
environment is a building with optionally multiple floors in which fire and smoke can be present.
The simulation should run in real-time with up to thousands of agents. People in the building
have to navigate their way through the environment while responding to their surroundings. The
people should avoid the fire and smoke, avoid collision with other agents or the environment, and
show generally plausible behaviour. The environment can also change during the simulation, for
example, paths or exits can become blocked.
